Wonderful Disney World

December 6th thru the 9th we went to Sunny Orlando Florida. Gabe had a conference so Ella and I went along for the ride. Gabe's mom went down and met us there as well. This was Ella's first airplane ride. She was born to fly. She gripped the armrests on the first take off and other than that you couldn't tell she was anywhere other than her living room. Which is great! I on the other hand take a week or so to recover from flying...

We went to Magic Kingdom on Sunday and Monday (Gabe met us after 5pm on Monday). Ella's favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion and the Carosel of Progress.

Daddy asked her who her favorite princess was and she told him "Mommy"... "She doesn't live here, but she's still my favorite princess"... Can I say tears while in line for It's a Small World? Guess I"m doing something right :-)

Ella noticed the light in Cinderella's castle at night and said "Looks like she's home, let's go visit her". I said that you had to make and appointment to see queens and princesses in their homes. Besides, she was probably getting ready for bed. Ella replied "I bet she is brushing her teeth". Out of the mouths of babes :-)

We had a blast and can't wait to go back, although it will probably be 3-4 years before we can do a whole week :-)

The Tree Prayer

Ella says her regualar prayers before bed. But now has added a new prayer

Time Flies

Man time flies - We have been super busy around here - had a great Thanksgiving - got all but a few things for Christmas... Leaving for Florida in 4 days - can't wait to see the mouse..... Ella had no cavities today at her checkup and got a "Belle" toothbrush. I've been informed that it is for Florida - guess I'll have to remember to pack that particular toothbrush.... Well - off to dance class!

My crazy girl

I just want to say - Ella can be a spaz!!!!! We watched a movie tonight and then had a ticklefest... So much fun - but it took her forever to calm down! She kept knocking Gabe over (from a seated position) until we had to get mean!!! I guess too much fun was had by all :-) I love my little girl....

Do ladybugs drink milk?

So it's cold - brrrrr Anyway - I brought in some of my plants from outside and there happened to be a couple of ladybugs on them - which thrilled Ella.... She got one to get on her finger and it was crawling around - she was in heaven. So, we had just finished dinner when all this was happening and oooops... the ladybug fell into her milk.... So I was quick to be the ladybug lifeguard.... It broke my heart - Ella was really crying about the ladybug (I think she thought it was her fault) and she was saying "don't die ladybug" - big ol dragon tears rolling down her cheeks. So - off to the sink I went, pouring her milk and caught the ladybug in my fingers. It had it's wings out and started crawling on my hand (slowly)... I cleaned off my other hand and let it crawl onto it... I decided to put it on my plant, you never know, there might be a aphthid (sp?) or two to help the ladybug replenish...

I am proud to say that our ladybug is still alive 4 hours later and has even flown a little big. There was a light, and well it's a bug... But all it well! Mommy to the rescue..

I wonder if they give our metals for that?

The Perfect Pumpkin

We went to Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch with my moms group - everyone got a pumpkin.... Ella found her perfect baby pumpkin.... Carolyn's is always soo much fun! But she cut her finger on some hay (I think it was the wire holding the hay) and home we went....

Shawnee German Festival

So my brother in law's german club (he's from germany) has a Oktoberfest every year out in Shawnee. They have all kinds of fun stuff including German Dancers. So Ella and her cousin Tegan wanted to be german dancers too. So if this video comes through - enjoy... Too....... Funny....

Had an exciting weekend. Gabe went to Tulsa to watch the MU game that was played in Nebraska (I know, they are funny)... Ella spent the night at her cousins in Olathe... So I had from 6pm Saturday to 4 pm Sunday all alone... Mom and I went to Harrah's Saturday night, didn't win but I found a new favorite slot machine!!!! Mom won $20 on a machine she didn't even want to play..... I bet she wants to play it again now!

Didn't get much done besides laundry - just chilled. It was nice.

Garage Sale

We had our fall neighborhood garage sale today. My goal was to make enough money for Disney tickets for Gabe and I ... Gabe's goal was for me to make $75... Luckily I met both goals and then some!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! I still have a ton of baby/kids stuff left - so hopefully next garage sale will be just as good in the spring!

Garage Sale

So, we are having a garage sale this Saturday - man it's a lot of work - but I really hope that I get paid for it!!!! We'll use this money toward disneyworld... I'm selling everything and anything!

I'm also a week ahead of myself - how'd that happen?????

I had a dream

So we went in to check on Ella before we went to sleep like usual. And this is what we found. You can't see the knitted scarf around her waist. It took us about 5 mintues to get it all off of her. This morning when she woke up - she told me that she had a dream that she had a purple thing around her head, a scarf around her hips and her fairy wings and that she was sleeping in them. I said - what a wonderful dream :-)

Music class

So I did my first music class at preschool today - it went really well and the rhythm sticks were a hit. I'm so funny - I was soooo nervous and then I thought - they are preschoolers - they aren't going to know if I mess up. Then I was fine.

Assisted dance class today with Ms Susie - they were a really good class - they were all pretty good listners and seemed to be having a great time!

For the rest of the tornado Tuesday - taking Allie to get a haircut, Ella's dance class and my dance class. Somewhere it there I have to make it to the durn store to get snack for Ella's preschool tomorrow.....

If life wasn't so hectic - would we really appreciate the restful moments?

First Day of School picture

First day of Pre-K... We were very excited!!!!!! In case you couldn't tell. Ella is loving preschool and she pops right out of bed in the morning - she can't wait to see her teacher Ms. Sue. She told me the other day - "Ms Sue is so beautiful"... Ms. Sue was very happy to hear that!

So I'm trying to get pictures on here... It doesn't like me.... Anyway - school has started - woo hoo! Ella loves her preschool class. They finally got to play outside today! It's been so rainy. Looks like maybe we'll get to go outside tomorrow too. My class is pretty good - there are a boy and a girl that cry and scream for thier mom at first, but they soon calm down. We have one boy that has signs of autism.. We'll see how that works, but I don't want to have to deal with that too much. We are not a special needs preschool...... Sweet boy, but wow... It's basically one teacher on him and the other works with the other 13 kids... That's really not fair to all the other kids....

Dance starts next Tuesday. I''m assisting Tuesday morning. Ella's class is at 5 and mine at 7. It will be a full day of preschool and dance!

So ready for school to start

OK - I'm soooooo bored! I am so ready for school to start. We have our back to school meeting tomorrow and then next week we get it ready for the students. I'll be working Monday and Wednesday and Ella goes to school Tuesday thru Thursday. I'm assisting Susie at Ibsen on Tuesday mornings to it looks like I'll have Thursday to myself..... It will be nice to have a regular schedule again, not to mention getting paychecks!!!!!

So this blog thing

So I've heard that blogging can be therapeutic... We will see about all that....

What to write about... I finished my 6 vests for GTIP's Crazy for you and got those dropped off.... Yeay for me!

Ella is complaining about her throat hurting.. I hope she fights this off... Summer colds suck...

I'm looking forward to sewing a little bit - I really enjoy it but don't get to do it enough.

School starts for me on the 25th and officially on Sept 3rd... I'm looking forward to that. I will get a day to myself this year, even if only for a couple of hours.... Maybe I can finally get some stuff done...
